There are a couple of different reasons so basically it's whichever works best for you!

This is not my… rejects the current status of our global society... but only because we believe that we have the power to change this for the better. It can be used to prefix statements such as, This is not my… 'choice' or 'world' or even the good old English ‘cup of tea’.
This is not my... signifies that the world is not ours alone. That we are responsible for protecting it for future generations; that we must respect the rights of all people within it as the same as our own.
This is not my… shows that this site is not ours. We hope that it will be something that other people will add to and that it will subtly transform into something that reflects the views and ideas of its readers.
This is not my… is useful as a statement in front of information that is not of our creation. We want to find the best of what is out there in the ether and bring it together, regardless of whose it is.
This is not my… can be used to clearly state things that the site stands against i.e. This is not my… unnecessarily large SUV!
This is not my… can also be used to the opposite effect to highlight the things we covet but don't have. (Sadly, despite this justification, Ollie won't let us dedicate an entire section to Johnny Depp.)
